
Cătălin Petrea
Cătălin is a Deputy Managing Partner within Bulboacă & Asociații and a member of the firm’s Banking & Finance team.
Cătălin’s experience in restructuring and insolvency projects, as well as in banking & finance transactions such as structuring and negotiating syndicated and bilateral facilities for both the borrower and the lender, debt restructuring, the acquisition and sale of assets in insolvency proceedings, together with a solid understanding of the Romanian market and business environment, contribute to the successful completion of the projects he is involved in.
Strongly client-oriented and with an impressive ability to quickly react to complex matters, he contributed as member of various project teams, providing legal assistance and representation to some of the most important national and international financial institutions.
Cătălin represented companies from various industries, such as pharmaceuticals, chemicals, petroleum and natural gas, construction, real estate and betting on their investments in Romania and in the region.
He graduated from the Law School of the Bucharest University and is a member of the Bucharest Bar Association. He also holds a master’s degree in European Criminology and Criminal Justice Systems at the Ghent University in Belgium. He is fluent in English.
In his spare time Cătălin enjoys travelling, discovering new cultures and places, but also the wildlife in its natural environment.
