On April 20, 2022, the legislative proposal to amend Law no. 335/2007 on the Romanian Chambers of Commerce (B254/2022) was registered with the Senate for debate and was sent for opinions to the Competition Council, the Economic and Social Council, and the Legislative Council (deadline: May 26, 2022), as well as to the Government.
This draft law was initiated with the aim of establishing the mandatory registration of professionals (companies, sole proprietorships, individual and family enterprises) in a business catalog. This catalog is expected to provide clear benefits to entrepreneurs by connecting them to a central database, enhancing their visibility, and offering promotional opportunities beyond Romania’s borders.
