According to the provisions of Law no. 85/2014, depending on the circumstances of the case, the insolvency judge may order the extension of procedural deadlines regarding the submission and verification of claims, the preparation and publication of the preliminary table of claims, as well as the date of the first meeting of the creditors’ assembly.
The extension of deadlines may be justified, among other reasons, by the high degree of complexity of the case, due either to the company’s line of business or the large number of creditors.
